Is the solution easy-to-use, yet falls short on delivering key functionality? Many time sheet applications allege an impressive list of features, yet are often poorly designed and require users to complete complicated, manual tasks.
When evaluating the different solutions on the market, compare how each application delivers key features to find out what they are capable of so that you can make the smartest decision. What to ask vendors:
• Does the product offer real-time, graphical, customizable reports that are easy-to-use?
• Can we create reports within the application itself or do they have to be manually exported to another application?
• How many approval levels are available? How many approval paths?
• Can I mass edit records?
• What about our employees that don’t have a reliable or fast Internet connection? How will these users enter their time sheets?
• Do the offline time sheets look the same as the web time sheets?
